Chuck E. Cheese’s is proud to support families who have children with autism and other special needs. We offer a sensory-friendly experience on the first Sunday of every month at participating locations, opening our stores two hours before their normal opening time. Our Sensory events include a trained and caring staff that work to ensure each guest has a fun-filled visit. We realize that the Chuck E. experience can be very stimulating for any child, so our mission is to create an event that allows ALL kids to be a kid.

College for Kids is a six-week summer enrichment program held annually at Penn State Behrend in Erie, Pennsylvania. It is designed to help students learn, grow, and develop critical skills over the summer months when school is not in session. Students ages 6-14 may choose up to two courses each week during College for Kids. Students must be at least 6 years old at the start of the program to participate in courses.

College for Kids program will begin on Monday, June 15, and will conclude on Friday, July 31. There will not be any CFK courses during the week of July 6 due to the Fourth of July holiday. Sessions run Monday through Friday. Morning sessions are offered from 9:00 a.m. to noon; afternoon sessions run from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. All-day participants will have a supervised lunch hour between noon and 1:00 p.m. each day. Students are required to bring a brown bag for lunch to camp all day. There will be no early or after childcare options this summer. We apologize in advance for any issues this may cause.

BMC started adaptive sailing in 2000, and the EASE program became established in 2001. This is the first and still the only adaptive sailing program in Pennsylvania. It serves the entire tri-state region. Thank you to the more than 20 dedicated EASE volunteers who organize, schedule, staff, and sail all day with the sailors, while parents, grandparents, siblings, and caregivers share in their experience while aboard the escort vessel, EASE-Y SPIRIT.

The Gliding Stars organization provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to increase their personal potential through development of ice skating skills in a regular program of instruction and practice in their own local community, culminating in the demonstration of those skills publicly in an end-of-season on-ice choreographed performance, which itself serves as a source of motivation, teamwork, increased self-esteem and the ‘magic’ that results from transcending one’s barriers in order to accomplish one’s dreams. This class embraces movement and music for the differently-abled. Led by a volunteer instructor, Happy Feet is appropriately titled-from the moment the class begins, until it ends, the room is full of happiness. Class participants are welcome to bring support partners to class. Ages 21 and up. Free to members of the YMCA, $5 to nonmembers. Classes are Wednesdays 2pm – 3pm.

Adaptive baseball for all ages with any disability.
**There is no age limit for children or adult with any disability to participate**

Challengers enables boys and girls with special needs, age 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in high school, to enjoy the game of baseball.

Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sport, every day around the world. Through sports, health, education and community programming, Special Olympics is tackling inactivity, intolerance, isolation and injustice that people throughout the world face, especially people with intellectual disabilities.

Voices for Independence offers several different programs and classes for individuals with varying needs. These programs include cooking, crafts, wellness and different exercise classes.
