Mission: Through education, advocacy, empowerment and parent engagement we seek full integration of youth with disabilities into all aspects of life in their community. Vision: Mission Empower envisions a community where all youth with disabilities use their gifts and talents to follow their dreams while changing their community for the better.

As part of a national organization, our primary goal is to improve supports and services available for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. That’s our responsibility. Locally we see ourselves as much more! Together, we are a “family” of individuals working together to improve the quality of life for those in Erie County facing special challenges.

The Arc of Clarion and Venango Counties provides a variety of services and programs designed to support people who experience disabilities. The Arc advocates for the rights and full participation of all children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.

The Arc Mercer is grassroots, family focused organization dedicated to creating opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to achieve their goals. We believe everyone is a valued, contributing member of our community at large. Our focus is to provide those we serve with the resources, support, and services needed to reach their highest level of independence regardless of diagnosis, and at all stages of life.

The mission of the PEAL Center is to ensure that children, youth, and adults with disabilities and special health care needs lead rich, active lives and participate as full members of their schools and communities by providing training, information, parent leadership, and technical assistance based on best practices to individuals and families and all people who support them.
