The Autism Society is pleased to invite you to an informative and family-focused presentation on navigating the financial planning landscape for individuals with autism and other disabilities. This session is designed to help parents, caregivers, and self-advocates understand the tools available to protect benefits, build long-term security, and plan confidently for the future.

Topics We Will Cover:

• ABLE Accounts Learn how ABLE accounts work, who qualifies, contribution limits, and how they can be used to save money without jeopardizing government benefits.

• Government Benefits (SSI & SSDI) Understand the differences between SSI and SSDI, eligibility rules, income/resource limits, and strategies to coordinate these benefits with other financial planning tools.

• Special Needs Trusts Explore how Special Needs Trusts work, when they’re appropriate, the difference between first-party, third-party trusts and pooled trusts, and how they protect benefits while providing supplemental support.

 Who Should Attend: Parents, guardians, caregivers, individuals with disabilities, and anyone looking to better understand long-term financial planning within the disability community.
